Hi there,
I went to St Bernie's being taught by Miss O'Hara mainly. I always recall the Headmistress, she retired and went on a Cunard cruise, but can I remeber her name! do recall she had a belt in her biscuit tin and me and Stevie Bisset knew all about that.

Was browsing your website and just thought I would share that my late mother attended the original wee sandstone St. Bernards from 1925.She never ever mentioned a secondary school,but she left school at 14.She only ever mentioned St, Bernards and how her house then,backed on to it so closely that her mother brought her warm toast at playtime on the frosty mornings and handed it through the railings to her. Her name was Sarah Burns Carlin.

I was a pupil from 1964-1969 and remember Miss Kerr, Miss Payne, Mr Evans & the eadmaster Mr Boyle. Fond memories of my time there.

Many thanks to St Bernard's and all the staff to allow our school football team to use your pitch and facility when your own team is playing an away game. Our own facility has been vandalised and we are waiting for it to be repaired. The warm welcome by Rab and the coaches and players was well received by all of us. We also like your idea of providing regfreshments after the match to the players and their coaches and parents. We are going to adopt this. Many thanks for helping us in our time of need.
